The 2016 Arsies: February 12, 2016

February 12, 2016 arse

Our penultimate showdown is between Good Tiger's stunning debut A Head Full Of Moonlight and Intronaut's monumental The Direction Of Last Things.
Good Tiger's music is fresh and exciting, and immediately engaging. It's total ear candy. But the Intronaut is something else. It draws you in, and lays out more of a multi-course meal. And while both albums fold in non-metal influences to great effect, Intronaut's riff salad makes for a more sustained musical journey. Both albums are fantastic, but The Direction Of Last Things is the more seductive, cohesive, and gratifying of the two. And so, at long last, Intronaut make it into the Finals!
There's just one more match left in the Arsies, and in keeping with tradition, that Final battle will go down the day after the Grammys. Tune in Tuesday, and find out whether The Armed or Intronaut come out on top, and win the coveted Gilded Arse.
