This is a much closer contest than I'd anticipated. Both Ufommamut and Ghost turn in epic performances with their latest albums. And I've not been the only one in the past to accuse Ufomammut of being an acquired taste, or at least overly ponderous at times. But while Meliora is the catchier of the two albums, and sufficiently heavy under normal circumstances, it's no match for the devastatingly massive Ecate. And so, in what is sure to be an upset to some, Ufomammut win the last bout in the Round Of 16.
Tomorrow is the beginning of the end! The Quarterfinals start with Between The Buried And Me and Mutoid Man. This is gonna be interesting.
